AARP Foundation Tax-Aide

AARP Tax-Aide provides free tax preparation in our community for the elderly and persons with low to moderate incomes during the upcoming tax filing season (Februrary - April 2020).  Tax sites are located in Eugene, Springfield, Junction City, Veneta, Florence, Oakridge and Cottage Grove.

Volunteers needed to work as Tax Preparers.  Tax Preparers will have good mathematical and computer skills.  No prior tax training or experience is necessary.  Required, week-long training will occur December 16 - December 20, 2019.

Volunteers needed to work as Client Facilitators.  Client Facilitators will help create the daily appointment schedule and answer tax-payer questions as required.  No computer skills are necessary.  Required, one-day training will occur on January 22, 2020.

All volunteers must enjoy interacting and working with the public.  Our clients are from all age groups (teens through the elderly).  Our clients are diverse and come from all social, racial, ethnic and economic groups.
