Playground Round Up at Pearl Buck Center

Play in the dirt with the kids at Pearl Buck Preschool!  Help us spruce up the playground by trimming bushes, weeding, and spreading bark mulch.  Bring your favorite yard and garden tools.

Pearl Buck Preschool & Family Supports program is for children of parents with cognitive disabilities.  This tuition free program provides transportation to and from school, two meals each day, child development screening, parent education, and in-home support.  The children enrolled are ages 2-5.

Tasks:

  • Weed and mulch the preschool playground
  • Trim bushes
  • Lay landscape fabric
  • Clean windows
  • Clean toys
  • Power wash (after 12:30 PM)
  • Weed whack (after 12:30 PM)

Shift: 8:30AM-3:30PM, flexible (1/2 day or full-day)

Volunteers: 2-4 teams of 5-10 people
