Newsletters and Community Resource Preparation
The National Alliance on Mental Illness would like to invite you and your group to volunteer with us. On September 26, 2019 we will be hosting volunteers at our main resource center in the Lane County Behavioral Health Building. The volunteers will help us prepare, stuff, and seal our Fall Newsletter. Every season we send out a newsletter to over 600 members and/or current volunteers. This newsletter is our way of promoting mental health awareness, research articles, upcoming events, and volunteer spotlights for our incredible volunteers. Continuing, we will also be working on our annual appeal letters. These letters will be stuffed, sealed, and sent out to our member and supporters. This is our opportunity to invite individuals in the community to renew their membership and/or to support us with a financial gift. This is an exceptional time for us because these donations and memberships allow us to provide all of our mental health support, education, and outreach programs for free to the community. Finally, we will wrap up the day by prepping our educational and resource brochures so that they are ready to be used in the community. We encourage you to come, serve, and join us with laughter and stories as we spend the day promoting mental health awareness.
