2018 Down & Dirty at Pearl Buck Center

Get down and dirty at Pearl Buck Center!  Help us spruce up the outdoor areas by trimming bushes, weeding, and spreading bark mulch.  Bring your favorite yard and garden tools.

Pearl Buck Center serves people with disabilities in Lane County.  We serve approximately 600 individuals and their families by empowering people to be the best they can be at work, home and school.  The programs and services include: Community Employment, Life Enhancing Activities Program, Preschool & Family Supports, Production Services, Project SEARCH, Supported Living, and Vocational Academy.

Tasks:

  • Weed and mulch the outdoor areas surrounding Pearl Buck Center
  • Spread bark mulch
  • Trim bushes
  • Lay landscape fabric
  • Clean windows
  • Power wash

Shift: 8:30AM-3:30PM, flexible (1/2 day or full-day)

Volunteers: 1-2 teams of 5-10 people
