SMART (Start Making a Reader Today) Support children’s literacy in your community and inspire a love of books and reading. Volunteers are needed for the upcoming school year.
Site Coordinators are key to SMART's success. From October through May, they spend 2-8 hours per week providing program oversight during reading sessions, acting as a key point of contact at our schools, and creating a welcoming, organized environment for our volunteer Readers and students.
Volunteer Readers are also needed.
Contact Debra Weinman, Volunteer Enegagement Manager, United Way of Lane County for more information.
