Opportunity Details
Outdoor: Mount Pisgah Arboretum, Trail Resurfacing Project
Mount Pisgah Arboretum’s mission is to engage people with nature through interactive learning and stewardship. At our diverse 209-acre site, visitors can explore the ecology of the whole Southern Willamette Valley on our seven miles of family-friendly trails. The Arboretum is one of the region’s premier nature education centers. Each year we teach over 11,000 children and adults about local ecology, including 3,000 K-5 students who discover the wonders of nature on school field trips led by our trained volunteers.
Project volunteers will help load, haul, spread and rake out trail surfacing materials (bark mulch and/or gravel). This project will help ensure some of our most used paths are accessible, attractive, and safe for all visitors.
Tools, gloves, snacks, and beverages provided (please let us know of any dietary restrictions).
Age Minimum (with Adult): 8+, Minimum Age:15+
